Avg or avast antivirus?

i have dowloaded and uses avast antivirus 4.8 and updated it, i read in pc magazine that avg antivirus is excellent, cnet rates both of them as excellent, should i switch to ang from avast??

i scanned and moved viruses to chest with avast, but still i have some problems , when i start my pc, my documents folder open twice automatically, my pen drive is not recognized by other computers, it says one of the devices attached... has malfunctioned,the problem was with my desktop , now its in my laptop after i transffered files thru pen drive the download size of avg is massive,a whopping 45 mb so i would like to know if its better than avast latest version

I have used AVG Anti Virus, Zone Alarm Firewall, Spy-bot Search and Destroy and Ad Aware both spyware killers for years. They are all free for personal use and I have had no trouble with Viruses Trojans etc. AVG does not slow the system down as much as some other products and Zone Alarm allows a lot of personal configuration unlike the Windows Firewall. They can all be downloaded from http://www.download.com/ I also use Windows Defender from the Microsoft site. It is safe to use two anti-spy products but never use more than one A/V as it can cause conflicts. You should run A/V and anti spy weekly. Hope this helps
